In the public sector, her career has included positions within the Australian National Audit Office and the Northern Territory Government, with experience spanning organisational restructures, job design, recruitment and selection training, shared services management, strategic and operational planning, HR strategy, evaluation and performance management frameworks, facilitation, secretariat and communications, change management, performance auditing, corporate governance and risk services.

As a consultant, Sharon has led and undertaken a wide range of organisational and program reviews, supporting organisations in repositioning and transitioning organisational structures and resourcing. Sharon offers excellent stakeholder engagement skills and proven experience in partnering in planning, implementing and reviewing change and reform activities to ensure achievement of organisational objectives.

Sharon has been the Chair and member of various Not-For-Profit boards at a local and national level over 15 years and is currently on the board of a large Canberra based Not-For-Profit going through a merger.

Sharon’s governance consulting career includes providing mentoring services to boards, board chairs, CEOs and executive, developing and reviewing governance structures, developing and reviewing key documentation for boards, strengthening board capability, facilitating and presenting strategic planning with boards, developing risk appetite statements, strengthening board reporting and providing support with board capability building.  She is also a facilitator for the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) Company Director Course and develops and presents webinars for the AICD.
